A 2021 study from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine looked at data from 6,102 adults to determine the ways in which long-term exposure to air pollution (PM2.5) affected the risk of developing chronic rhinosinusitis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PM2.5 refers to a mixture of solid particles and liquid droplets found in the air that are smaller than 2.5 micrometers in size, making them easily inhalable. Results from the study showed that \u201cCRS was more likely to be diagnosed in patients exposed to higher concentrations of PM2.5<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
