Dr. Caitlin Iorio is a board certified otolaryngologist and head, neck and facial plastic surgeon. She holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in biology with a minor in medical humanities from the University of South Carolina Honors College. She completed her medical training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. While in medical school, she was awarded multiple merit-based scholarships, an NIH grant for research in endoscopic skull base surgery and tutored nursing students in anatomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She completed her 5-year surgical residency in Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose, and Throat) Surgery with the University of Virginia (UVA). Under the tutelage of world-renowned facial plastic surgeon and former American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) President Dr. Stephen S. Park, Dr. Iorio began refining her surgical craft in cosmetic and reconstructive facial plastic surgery. She was awarded multiple research awards during her residency and started a wellness initiative for the residency program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Iorio then spent her final year of her subspecialty training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her goal as a facial plastic surgeon is to promote confidence, while also doing something she truly loves, art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
